Entry-level Fabricator
Description
We are hiring an entry-level fabricator at our location in Downtown Los Angeles. The ideal candidate for this position is interested and invested in the LA art scene, and is looking for a creative, collaborative, and hands-on work place. We would like to hire a full-time employee, but are willing to be flexible for the right person. As an entry-level fabricator you would learn how our products are made, from stocking raw materials to wrapping finished canvases. This position is a great opportunity to learn technical skills in a variety of disciplines.
Responsibilities May Include

General organization and cleaning of work areas

Milling wood to precise specifications

Operation of power and pneumatic hand tools

Assembly of stock components

Cutting and prepping ahead of Carpentry

Stretching canvas, linen, muslin, and other painting substrates

Preparation of painting surfaces with gesso, grounds, and other media

Working with other employees on larger projects
-
Fabrication of wood stretcher bars and panels

Fabrication of aluminum stretcher bars

Deliveries to customers studios
Requirements
-
The ability to lift upwards of 50lbs unassisted and to work standing for extended periods of time

An interest in the Los Angeles art scene
-
Valid CA drivers license and clean record

Full-time
Compensation

Hourly Rate will start at $18.00/hr
